Open for a limited time: Charitable Cosplay Shop
Another bit of exciting news!
I’m frequently asked if I sell prints of my cosplay work. I don’t. From a personal perspective I’d rather keep my hobby just that, and not feel bogged down by blurring the lines and running a business.
However, I think I’ve found a happy medium! After coordinating with the many talented photographers I’ve worked with over the years, I’ve opened a limited shop with prints to benefit charity - specifically The Trevor Project. Please read the FAQ for more info on how the donation will be made, but note that all proceeds will make there way to the selected charity. I will not be making a profit from this store.
The shop must close on March 10 - I need enough time to fulfill orders before I leave for Dublin in April. All prints 8x10 and buy 4, get 1 free. Please indicate in the buyer’s notes if you’d like them signed or personalized - I don’t want to scribble all over the art unless it’s what you’re looking for!
I’d much appreciate help spreading the word so we can make a big donation! As always, thanks for the support!
Joining in on the Valentine’s Day fun, here is a card I made for my nerdy brethren last year.

After nearly a year of jotting down my thoughts, I’ve finally compiled and refined a list of advice for those interested in breaking into games press or development.
Topping out at nearly 10,000 words the FAQ is quite a bit to digest, but I sincerely hope it is helpful to those pursuing a career the industry.
Feel free to leave a comment if you’d like me to amend the FAQ with a new question or approach a untouched subject.
Best of luck to you!
I’m sharing this photo with the express intent of embarrassing myself for fellow Tomb Raider fans. While I’ve only been cosplaying for five years, I’d been known to run around dressed as Lara when I was younger. I think I was 14 or so in this snap, and must have been going for a Tomb Radier II wetsuit look. It took me forever to set up the camera in the perfect spot!
There will be more once I dig them up. Somewhere there are photos of me pretending to hang from a chandelier at a neighbors house. The kids I was babysitting took the photos for me. HA.
And here’s the first piece of art! Working with Andy Park has been a dream. He is a fantastic artist, and I have every one of the issues he penciled back in the day. Hope you enjoy his contribution to the celebration!
15-Year Celebration: “Rebirth” by Andy Park
“It was such a treat to revisit Tomb Raider since I illustrated her adventures in the Top Cow comic book series over a decade ago. Typically, Lara is always shown as being supremely confident despite the odds she faces. Here I wanted to show trepidation and yet a confidence that is deep within but not fully realized. It was fun to be able to tackle the challenge of illustrating Lara in a similar way that I do in my day-to-day job as a concept artist for the film industry. I had nothing but fun.”
- Andy Park
About Andy Park: Andy Park has provided concept design and illustration services to the entertainment industry for over 16 years. His work has spanned throughout the entertainment mediums of film and television, video games, comic books, books, and magazines.
Andy began his career in 1995 illustrating comic books for Image Comics, Top Cow Productions, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics on such titles as Tomb Raider, Uncanny X-Men, Excalibur, Weapon X, and Superman. In the last decade, Andy has moved from comic book illustration to creating concept art for the film, television, and video game industries. He played a major role in developing games for companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment on the award-winning God Of War Franchise. It’s finally been revealed that VampyBitMe, Yaha Han, and I will be guests at Katsucon 2012. I’m so excited to finally share the news! I’ve never been to the convention and am very much looking forward to it.
My Anya Stroud/Gears of War cosplay gave me a taste for a challenge, and as such I’m hoping to debut this costume for my guest spot at Katsucon. The character is Ashlotte from Soulcalibur IV. :)
I had the honor of being a guest at the Gears of War 3 launch event in Paris last night. It was one of the wildest experiences of my life, and I can’t wait to share some of the video that will come from it later next week. For now, check out a few of the photos - the venue (Frigos de Paris) is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
You can check out all of the photos on my Facebook page.
Life imitating art? I was inspired by Deus Ex when putting together this new outfit. You can’t see the leather leggings and boots, but you get the idea. :P
Triangles are the new hotness.
More Anya cosplay photos. LJinto keeps giving me gold. <3
