Finished San’s mask tonight. I made a point to carve up the clay so it resembled wood and didn’t oversaturate the bowl so that it retained the nice variations & texture. My goal was to make it look handmade instead of manufactured, so all the “blemishes” are intentional. After adding the color I dry brushed some of the paint off to give it even more personality. I’m so happy with the results!

(Note: Still a tad wet, hence the shiny bits. Also, the colors look slightly off because I couldn’t resist an Instagram filter. :P )
